Justice and Service Projects

A “prophet-raising” process for high school juniors and seniors. At this nine-month experiment in Gospel living, small covenant communities of older teens and adults will dialogue and reflect on the implications of Catholic social teaching. Adult mentors and young people enter into prayerful dialogue, experiential investigation of the prophetic call to live justly, on-going relationships with marginalized people, and a life pilgrimage into justice-based ministry. Nazareth Farm
: Mid August, only for our older youth. Details TBA. "Welcome Home" More info see: www.nazarethfarm.org

All St. Rose youth in 8-12 grades are welcome to be a part of the St. Rose Encounter Team. Nazareth Farm is a particularly intense experience and is reserved for our older youth and young adults.

Throughout the year, our YM Justice and Service opportunities offer many opportunities for our youth and their families. Most opportunities can be found in the foyer and bulletin. We have many day service trips, support parish offerings and offer work camps. These "Service Camps" are week-long immersion justice and service experiences.

We encourage our young people and their families to get involved in the huge number of justice and service opportunities available at St. Rose. You might organize a Thanksgiving Basket, move furniture, help with Alternative Christmas or our Christmas Tree Sales, participate in AIM, visit the homebound, get involved in Liturgical Ministries or help out at Shape Up Days. Look through the whole bulletin each week and keep an eye on our Wall of Opportunity for information on needs and upcoming activities.
