Staff Position
Position Overview:
To provide leadership in making Saint Rose a parish which assists members to discover , follow and celebrate their unique spiritual journey within the Catholic Faith.
General Description:
Develops and implements activities and programs designed to build up the faith life of adults.
Responsible for organizing and directing efforts to suitably involve new parishioners and volunteers in parish programs and services.
Maintains communications among staff, ministries, committees, volunteers and parishioners in achieving the position overview.
Builds skills and leadership, empowering members for spiritual ministry.
Attends staff meetings and retreats.
Essential Job Functions
Pastoral Presence: Endeavors to be known among parishioners who attend all Masses, by attending various liturgies and meeting people afterwards. Normally is present for Hospitality after the 8:45 and 11:15 Masses.
Adult Faith Formation: Assesses spiritual needs of adults.
Reviews , develops, and /or promotes appropriate spiritual growth programs, days of recollection, etc. Coordinates the formation , oversight, and promotion of small faith sharing groups. Resources small faith groups and meets with Committee.
Newcomers: Attends monthly Newcomer meetings.Follow up calls or talks with Newcomers for the purposes of integrating them into the
Saint Rose family, especially through small groups and volunteer ministries.
Volunteer Promotion: Recruits ministry volunteers and leaders.
Meets with ministry promotion committee. Edits or arranges editing for yearly Opportunity Knocks.
