Registration
Our philosophy of membership is that we wish those
who choose to become registered members of St. Rose of Lima Parish to
take seriously their commitment to the life of our community. Therefore
we ask those who wish to register to attend a Newcomers Gathering which
is held on the second Sunday of the month, following the 11:15am Mass.
There staff members and new members have a chance to meet each other.
Together we watch a short and informative video about parish life. Our
philosophy of membership is explained and there is time for questions as
well as an explanation of the registration process. Should one choose
not to register, we still offer the full range of services. If you have
any questions about becoming a registered member of St. Rose, please
call the parish office.
As part of the registration process, we ask people to prayerfully consider the membership covenant provided below. We invite you to return a signed copy of this document to the parish or you may wish to keep it at home in a special place.
Membership covenant
We, the members of St. Rose of Lima Parish, have gathered as disciples of Jesus Christ to form a Christian community in the Roman Catholic tradition. At the heart of our communal life are the commitments we have made in our Pastoral Plans, Our Mission to the Millennium and All Are Welcome.
As a Catholic Christian, I recognize that discipleship is a life-long spiritual journey. Therefore, in solidarity with the members of this community, I freely and joyfully embrace this covenant by seeking to grow in the following commitments:

- to worship regularly with this community
- to embrace stewardship as a way of life; one important way I will do this is by participating in sacrificial giving of:
- time (growing spiritually through prayer and scripture)
- talent (discerning my God-given abilities and using them for the good of my St. Rose community as well as the world at large)
- treasure (contributing a sacrificial portion of my income to support St. Rose of Lima Parish and other worthy groups and causes)
- to witness to the Gospel by the example of my daily life and to invite others to share in the Good News that I have come to know as a disciple of Jesus Christ
- to participate fully and actively in the life of this community
