The St. Rose community believes that Adult Faith Formation needs to be at the center of our ministry to the members of our parish. Each new stage in the Adult Life Cycle opens up new questions and insights in our ongoing relationship with God. As a "Learning Community," virtually every parish activity that we take part in has a formational component attached to it. We offer formational experiences for every ministry in the parish, each of our Pastoral Commissions has a formational component built into its regular cycle of meetings, and each Sacramental Preparation Process has a parent formational component as a part of it. We also offer opportunities throughout the year for formal Adult Education.

Small Faith Communities (SFCs)
Our Small Faith Communities (SFCs) here at St. Rose meet regularly to talk about how we can live our faith more deeply. A facilitator helps plan and lead meetings that include time for members to share what's happening in their lives, reflect on the Sunday Scripture Readings and pray together. Communities are small so that members have as much time as they need to share, discuss, reflect, and pray.

SFCs are a place to share important life experiences with people who genuinely care about you. Membership transcends friendship, and instead provides a sense of connection that is closer to an extended family. Everyone is welcome. No previous experience needed! One can find SFCs for Families or Moms with young children, or Couples with grown children, Men or Single Parents. Some SFCs focus on Service or Formation activities. Everyone involved should experience a diverse and rich environment.

Parish Library
"Recognizing the need to offer opportunities for Catholic Life-Long Faith Formation and Spiritual Development, the St. Rose of Lima Library will provide an organized collection of resources for the entire community in a quiet, comfortable environment." -Library Mission Statement.

The Parish Library has books and videos which represent a variety of topics that meet the needs of an enquiring parishioner. The Library is open on weekends after the Masses and on weeknights whenever there are meetings in the Parish Centre. Why not stop by and see what is available. Simple instructions for signing out books and videos can be found in the Library. Contact us at library@strose.com

Scripture Study
Have you ever wanted to take time to do a serious study of the Bible? This group may be for you. Each year, a group of parishioners meets regularly for a serious study of a book or books from the Bible. In past years the group has done an overview of the Old Testament, explored the Gospel writings, and studied the Prophets.

Lenten Lecture Series
During the Lenten Season, adults have an opportunity to take part in a serious study of some area of our Catholic Faith. In the past we have explored the Challenges of the Moral Life, Diversity, Everyday Spirituality, Christology, American Catholicism and more. Watch the Bulletin for information on this year's series.

Returning Catholics
Our Pastoral Plan, All Are Welcome, specifically names as one of its goals the importance of welcoming all who come to our parish. In particular we recognize that it is essential that we particularly try to build relationships with those who feel marginalized from the life of our community. Our objective is that "they feel welcomed and accepted in our community through activities, programs, and services designed to meet their specific needs." (ALL ARE WELCOME)

There are a variety of ways offered to assist those who have been away from the church for a time and wish to reconnect with their Catholic roots. We offer a supportive environment in which faith issues may be explored, as well as practical resources that can assist individuals better understand the Catholic Church as it is today. We invite all who are interested in "coming home" to give us a call so that we can have the opportunity to get to know you and help you find the option that is appropriate for your needs. To arrange for an initial conversation, call the Parish Office.
